Another costume

I've been meaning to make another Elf dress since I got a beautiful nightgown that would be suitable for an underdress. It took me awhile to find the velvet (in this case velveteen) to make the outer dress though. And a lot of money. Velvet, even velveteen, isn't cheap and I needed 10 yards!

But I did find a suitable color at a suitable price ($7.95 a yard) at fabric.com. And Saturday, a friend helped me to cut out all the velvet pieces of the dress.

I still need to find some green satin that closely matches my gown to make faux sleeves, and the notions, of course.

I want to have it finished by the time I go to Europe in October.
